Our trainers & consutlants are practitioners and, as such, can speak with understanding and experience when working with our clients. This can make all the difference in a good productive relationship. Ruaidhri McSharry
Ruaidhri McSharry is the CEO and co-founder of ESMI. Ruaidhri McSharry has developed key business relationships establishing ESMI as one of the top providers of PRINCE2® and ITIL® training and consulting. He has also created the division of ESMI’s Service Management consulting services, based on PRINCE2® and ITIL® best practice methodologies, which has achieved significant cost reduction to critical players in the technology and pharmaceutical industries.
Ruaidhri McSharry is a specialist in Relationship Management and has over 20 years experience in the public and private sectors with organizations in the US, UK and Ireland; working with companies such as: Coca Cola, Frigidaire, Whirlpool, John Deere, Mary Kay Cosmetics, etc. He is ITIL® accredited, holds a Masters degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and maintains memberships with various business organizations. Ruaidhri is a member of the board of itSMF Ireland and IT@Cork.
Bill Heffernan
Bill Heffernan is the Director of Professional Services for ESMI. He has more than 20 years of Service Management experience, planning and implementing IT service improvement initiatives in both the public and private sectors. Bill Heffernan’s expertise includes establishing and optimising best practice IT Service Management processes, developing and delivering Managed IT Services and conducting IT Service Delivery Gap Analysis. He also has extensive knowledge of development and delivery of Strategic, Tactical and Operational service improvement initiatives. He is fully accredited in ITIL® Managers and ITIL® Expert curriculums and provides strategic and tactical consulting as well as ITIL® training for all levels of management. Bill was one of the key drivers responsible for the establishment of the Irish Chapter of the itSMF which is the International organisation representing IT Service Managers (ITIL® practitioners).
Gerry Martyn
Gerry Martyn is a Senior Consultant & Trainer for ESMI. He has 24 years experience in IT Service Management and Project and Programme Management. Gerry ‘s expertise includes creating governance frameworks, decentralising and streamlining IT functions, architecting and implementing best practice processes and solutions and analysing and reducing costs in accordance with budget requirements. Gerry has consistently delivered projects on budget and on time. He is fully accredited trainer in PRINCE2®, ITIL® Managers and ITIL® Expert curriculums and provides strategic and tactical consulting as well as ITIL® training for all levels of management.
Darren Murphy
Darren Murphy is the Head of Sales and Marketing for ESMI. He is responsible for new business development along with management of our key accounts. Darren has been with ESMI for over 3 years after previously holding positions in Orange Business Services and Primark. Throughout this time he has worked on numerous deals predominantly in the ICT, Educational and Pharmaceutical sectors. Darren has studied in both the Arnhem Business School in the Netherlands and DIT Aungier Street where he graduated from the Management and Marketing degree course. In 2009 he graduated from DIT's SalesWISE post graduate diploma and is currently studying for his M.Sc in Sales Management. He holds an ITIL® v3 Foundation certificate.
Mervin Colton
Mervin Colton is a Training Manager at ESMI. He has been working with the company for over two years. Mervin joined the ESMI team in 2008 having graduated from DIT Aungier Street with a degree in Business Management, specialising in Marketing. He is primarily responsible for business development, along with marketing and website initiatives.
Mervin has worked closely with both public and private sector organisations, developing tailored training deliveries which focus on real value and measurable return on investment. He also holds an ITIL® v3 Foundation certificate in IT Service Management.
